LifeNews.com and Townhall, among other news outlets, have recently covered some of our activism, which continues to gain momentum. But we know we're doing something right when a leading pro-abortion site laments:
...anti-choice activists testified that even stricter regulations need to be implemented on clinics that provide reproductive health care.
Surprisingly, Gloria Gray, the director of the West Alabama Women's Center, Tuscaloosa's notoriously unsanitary abortion center, agreed with pro-lifers about something at a recent hearing, the Huffington Post reported:
Gloria Gray, who operates an abortion clinic in Tuscaloosa, said she agreed with abortion opponents that physician offices should follow the same rules as women's clinics that specialize in abortion.
Gloria Gray, director of West Alabama Women’s Center in Tuscaloosa, testified at the hearing and told RH Reality Check that one of her concerns about the regulations is the state releasing statistics that show the number of abortions performed at clinics. She says that this information has made her clinic a target for anti-choice protesters.
We would be holding 40 Days for Life outside the West Alabama Women's Center even if they only killed one baby by abortion every year, but the fact that our 40 Days for Life vigil is outside of Alabama's busiest abortion center makes our life-saving work even more important. The West Alabama Women's Center is killing thousands of babies and hurting thousands of mothers. The public has a right to know that the state's busiest abortion facility is in their backyard, and women deserve better than the shoddy care that the West Alabama Women's Center offers.
There are options besides abortion for the mothers in west Alabama and east Mississippi, and this is one of the reasons why our constant vigil is so important. We provide these mothers with life-affirming alternatives to abortion, regardless of their circumstances.
We know we're doing something right when RH Reality Check complains about our pro-life efforts!
